Thirteen Years Married

Thirteen years married to this man đŸ„‚

Some random facts about our wedding (that no one asked for 😆):

  1. We met in Alabama but married in Missouri at a vineyard Noah previously worked at. He handled a lot of the bookings as I didn't know anything about the area.

  2. I was in undergrad for nursing when we met, and we planned our wedding & honeymoon around my spring break.

  3. We got engaged after a month of dating and got married 7 months after we met.

  4. We married on a Sunday afternoon to cut costs - the venue was free because of Noah's connections

  5. Noah and I had breakfast together the morning of our wedding and attended church at the chapel where we married (that also happened to be the place his family attended) before I got ready for the ceremony.

  6. There were actually tornado warnings the morning of the wedding, but it ended up being a super sunny clear day - just SUPER windy 😆

  7. I bought my wedding dress at David's Bridal off the sale rack for $500 & did zero alterations.

  8. We didn't have a super long reception - but did have a first dance and our song was Norah Jones "Come Away With Me".

  9. Our honeymoon was a cruise to Key West & the Bahamas.

  10. We met on his mom's birthday and got married on my mom's birthday (both not intentionally).

  11. Pretty much everything we did was on a budget. We got all the hors d'oeuvres at Sam's the day before and prepped it all ourselves. Our cake was made by a sweet elderly lady in the church for $100 & had a delicious buttercream frosting. I made the favors and designed and printed the programs. I hand made the invitations.

  12. If I could do one thing differently about our wedding, it would be to invest in professional videography. We have such low quality video and not much of it😱

Here's to a lifetime with you, Noah 💛
